Reflection: Most of my feedback was really useful, especially the people that said I spoke too fast. Whenever I have a presentation or am nervous about something, I tend to speak really fast and not notice it until someone else points it out so it was very helpful and informative to see the comments that said I spoke too fast.
What did I change? I changed the speed of my voice, and this allowed me to, I think, get my points across better because in my last post someone said they had to rewind the video because I was speaking too fast. I also added more details into my presentation that I didn't have before but I since developed from doing the other exercises.
I think your pitch was very relatable to college students. I know that I have difficulty finding a seat in my place. I also think that weight sensors are a fantastic idea. My only question is that is it feasible cost wise? Other than that I love the confidence in this pitch and you definitely added more details for this elevator pitch.
ReplyDeleteHello Teagen,
ReplyDeleteSpeaking very quickly is common for a lot of people when they are nervous and it can be a hard habit to break, but I think you are doing an excellent job at overcoming that. I have stated before that I think your idea is actually brilliant and it would be very useful and I still think that. The weight sensors are a great addition because I previously did not really think about the fact of someone putting their bag on the seats. I think you are doing a great job and your product could be a big hit!
Hi Teagan,
ReplyDeleteStarting with a scenario was a good idea. I think it allows the viewer to clearly see the problem that you are trying to solve. I like how you presented it standing and your voice is very clear and forward. In addition to your solution, I think it's great how you go into detail of how you plan to make your solution work. Presentation was great and your body movement flowed well with your words.
Hi Teagan,
ReplyDeleteThe scenario at the beginning is great. It really has the audience visualize the problem, especially those who have experienced it. Your voice was very clear throughout as you portrayed your idea. I believe you were thorough and standing up while you gave your presentation definitely made you act with more energy.
Hello Teagen,
ReplyDeleteI know giving presentations and pitches may be hard for people who don't usually don't do it a lot. It can make you nervous and make you subconsciously make you do something you don't normally do like speaking faster. You did an excellent job giving your pitch because you have enough information and it was very clear. The only con I have is that you used "slang" terminology in your pitch like "lib" west. I know most UF students may know what it is. But professionally, you should try to avoid using because some audience may get confused with that if they don't go to UF. Overall your pitch was very good!
Great Pitch Teagen,
ReplyDeleteI think you made a great improvement in your pitch and found it easy to understand and process. You were not fast at all! I find your product super convenient and I can tell you really thought it out well. The only problem I noticed that needs improvement is eye contact. I can tell you were reading behind the camera, which is fine if it wasn't so obvious. I believe more contact into the camera would make it less obvious.
